Overview and features

The Victron Blue Smart IP22 Charger is a highly-efficient, professional battery charger with a plethora of useful features that set it apart from the competition:

• Integrated Bluetooth connectivity – enables easy setup and monitoring via the VictronConnect app. Firmware updates, Expert mode settings, and information about previous charge cycles are also available in the app.

• VE.Smart Network – the device supports VE.Smart networking, which allows it to directly connect to other chargers for synchronised operation, or to compatible Victron battery and current monitors such as BMV, SmartShunt, Smart Battery Sense. Data from the battery monitors can be used to further improve the charge cycle.

• Recondition and recovery functions – the Blue Smart IP22 Charger can attempt to recondition lead acid batteries damaged due to sulfation, as well as batteries that have been completely depleted and reached 0 V. Even Lithium batteries with built-in undervoltage protection can be reset and recharged.

• Integrated charge presets with multi-stage adaptive charging algorithms – the charger has several built-in presets for the most common battery types, but it will also adapt its charging logic according to usage patterns. The multi-stage charge algorithm is specifically engineered to optimise each recharge cycle and maintain charge over extended periods of time.

• Fully programmable charging – In Expert mode (accessible via the VictronConnect app) every aspect of the charging process can be fine-tuned.

• Silent operation – toggling the low-power or night modes will limit the charge current and enabling the charger to operate passively, without its cooling fan, which makes the device practically silent.

The Victron Blue Smart IP22 Charger is the perfect addition to any garage, workshop or campervan.

It can recharge and maintain 12 V batteries such as those found in cars, motorcycles, boats and gardening equipment such as electric lawnmowers.

The charger is compatible with most battery types including lead-acid, AGM, Gel and LiFePO₄.

Thanks to its Storage mode and low power consumption it is ideal for maintaining batteries that are not used throughout the year and sit in storage during winter.

Please note that, Li-ion batteries should not be charged if the battery temperature drops below 0 °C.

In addition to its main function as a charger it can also function as a 12 VDC power supply.

Design and construction

The Blue Smart IP22 Charger is engineered to provide years of trouble-free and dependable operation in all usage conditions.

It features multiple built-in protections that ensure safe operation including overheating protection, reverse polarity protection and short circuit protection.

The chassis is made from aluminium, enabling its passive cooling in LOW and NIGHT mode.

This version is comes with a built-in power supply cable with a Schuko plug and a single DC output.
