Overview
The SCALA2 3-45 AKCCDE is an all-in-one hydrophore system that guarantees constant pressure to all taps in the house. It comprises an electric motor, impeller pump, tank, flow sensor and check valve in a single, easy-to-install unit.
Thanks to its intelligent controller, the SCALA2 regulates its operation automatically, and the water-cooled electric motor ensures long-term reliability and low noise during operation.
Application
The SCALA2 is designed for homes with up to 3 floors, using a maximum of 8 taps simultaneously, pumping up to 5,000 l/h.
Of course, the pump is also suitable for tower block apartments suffering from insufficient water pressure from the municipal water supply.
The SCALA2 can boost water from a roof tank, break tank, ground tank or rainwater tank. The device can also be used to pump water from shallow wells with a depth of up to 8 metres and water temperatures from 0 to 45 °C.
Features
Quiet and unobtrusive
The SCALA2 has a sound level of only 44 dB(A) in typical use, comparable to a modern dishwasher, making it one of the quietest pumps in its class.
Thanks to its compact design and simplified installation, the pump is small and quiet enough to fit in a kitchen cupboard under the sink.
Intelligent control with automatic activation and deactivation
This SCALA2 is fitted with a variable speed controller, allowing it to adjust its flow to match the immediate demand.
The integrated sensor detects if the inlet pressure varies or if multiple taps are open and immediately adjusts the pump speed to maintain constant water pressure.
Older or simpler pumps can either be on or off, always working at full power, even when it’s not required, which increases electrical consumption and load on the pump.
Dry-running protection
Thanks to its built-in protection, there is no risk of damage to the pump if there is insufficient water pressure, as the pump will not run when dry.
Self-priming
The SCALA2 is self-priming allowing it to pump from water sources that are lower than the pump itself.
Design and construction
The SCALA2 features a composite housing and impeller made from NORYL resin. The primary shaft seal is carbon/ceramic.
Connecting the pump is easy thanks to its standard 1” inlet and outlet connections (EN 10226-1) and 1.5 m long power cable featuring a Schuko plug.
Thanks to its robust construction the pump is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.
Please note that the pump does not feature a built-in filter.
