Design and installation considerations The Victron Battery Box for SHS 200 has a sturdy metal construction. The Battery Box is delivered in flat-pack packaging but is quick and easy to assemble. The side panels are made from 1 mm thick sheet steel, while the vertical supporting profiles are made from extruded aluminium. Please note that the Battery Box is not waterproof and does not provide additional ingress protection for the SHS system. The assembled enclosure has an IP rating of 21. The product comes with all the necessary screws to assemble the enclosure, but note that the screws used to secure the SHS 200 MPPT come bundled with the controller instead. The Battery Box packaging includes two warranty void stickers that can be applied to the top panel for additional protection against unauthorised access.
