5.12 kWh battery module for AQ-LITH EnergyRack

Battery module for AQ-Lith EnergyRack - 5 kWh, LiFePO4 technology

No rating yet

Product description

AQ-LITH EnergyRack battery module with a capacity of 5.12 kWh. Designed for use in the EnergyRack modular battery chassis, but can be used standalone or rack mounted in 19” cabinets thanks to its standard dimensions and 3U height. As a result of using LiFePO4 battery chemistry, the battery has a considerably longer service life (10+ years or 6000 cycles) when compared to traditional lithium-ion or lead-acid batteries, all while requiring virtually zero maintenance. This battery can complement an existing solar system and provide backup power for premises with an unreliable electrical supply.

Additional specifications and description

Overview
The EnergyRack battery module is a high-performance energy storage battery manufactured by the Belgian company Battery Supplies. The EnergyRack battery module combines safety, high capacity and a rich feature set, all in a compact 3U rack-mounted chassis designed to fit 19” cabinets.
It
features an integrated BMS (Battery Management System) with multiple safety features and communication options. Designed for scalability, the battery module can communicate with other batteries/charge controllers via CAN, RS485 and RS232, and it supports connecting up to 15 units in parallel. When connected to a Victron GX device such as the Cerbo GX, the status of the battery and all other relevant information can be viewed and logged via the VRM (Victron Remote Management) online portal.
A LiFePO4 battery offers many benefits regardless of whether or not the business/home has a photovoltaic installation. It can both save money and provide reliable backup power during power outages.

The EnergyRack optimises consumption and reduces energy costs.
In most households and many businesses, the peak power production of a photovoltaic system may not always coincide with peak consumption. When added to an existing PV system, the EnergyRack battery module works as energy storage for the excess/unused electricity generated during the day. The energy stored in the battery is available to supplement or completely meet the electricity demand at night or when the power from the solar panels is insufficient.
Another use case for the battery is variable electricity rates. Depending on the variability of prices during the day, the battery can charge when electricity is cheaper and discharge during the hours when it is more expensive. The EnergyRack can also save money by smoothing out momentary spikes in consumption that might be penalised by the grid provider.

Data centre reliability for your home
As this battery module is the building block of the EnergyRack modular battery, every aspect of its design has been optimised for reliability, longevity and safety. Thanks to the LiFePO4 battery chemistry, the EnergyRack battery module is expected to last more than ten years and 6000 charge cycles and has an 8-year manufacturer’s warranty.
If frequent blackouts occur on the premises, the battery can supply power until the regular electrical supply returns. In other words, the EnergyRack can act as a large-capacity UPSLiFePO4 batteries have a near-instant response, unlike standard gasoline/diesel generators, so there will be no data loss or costly interruptions to a manufacturing process.
AQ-Lith EnergyRack provides your home or business with a reliable electrical supply that is suitable even for Tier 4 data centres.

What is required to use the EnergyRack battery module?
As the battery outputs DC power, it is necessary to use a hybrid inverter such as the Victron MultiPlus-II and a solar charge controller such as the Victron Smart Solar MPPT for PV installations.
The system is configured during the initial installation process, after which it will operate autonomously.

Please note that the battery requires several charge/discharge cycles before it reaches its design capacity.
