Victron Lithium Battery Smart 25.6/200-a | LiFePO4 | 5120 Wh | 400 A

No rating yet

Product description

The Victron Energy 25.6 V/200Ah LiFePO4 Smart-a is a compact lithium-iron-phosphate battery with a capacity of 5120 Wh. Thanks to its slim design, the battery is ideal for energy storage systems for vehicles (ships, yachts, RVs) and homes/small businesses. LiFePO4 batteries have a significantly longer life when compared to traditional Lead-acid batteries, and thanks to the advanced cell chemistry, the battery is safe and does not require maintenance. The battery is an ideal upgrade for new and existing photovoltaic installations, but it can also provide back-up power in combination with a hybrid inverter or inverter/charger in locations with unreliable electrical supply.

Additional specifications and description

Overview
The 25.6 V/200Ah LiFePO4 Smart-a is a compact, LFP (LiFePO4) energy storage battery manufactured by Victron Energy.

It is designed to seamlessly integrate with other Victron devices in a Victron ESS (energy storage system).

When paired with a Victron hybrid inverter, the status of the battery and all other relevant information can be viewed and logged via the VRM (Victron Remote Management) online portal. A LiFePO4 battery offers many benefits regardless of whether or not the business/home has a photovoltaic installation. It can both save money and provide reliable backup power during power outages.

The 25.6 V/200Ah LiFePO4 Smart-a reduces energy costs and increases self-consumption

In most households and many businesses, the peak power production of a photovoltaic system may not always coincide with peak consumption. When added to an existing PV system, the Victron Energy 25.6 V/200Ah LiFePO4 Smart-a battery works as energy storage for the excess/unused electricity generated during the day. The energy stored in the battery is available to supplement or completely meet the electricity demand at night or when the power from the solar panels is insufficient.

Another use case for the battery is variable electricity rates. Depending on the variability of prices during the day, the battery can charge when electricity is cheaper and discharge during the hours when it is more expensive. The 25.6 V/200Ah LiFePO4 Smart-a can also save money by smoothing out momentary spikes in consumption that might be penalised by the grid provider.

B
ack up power with long term reliability

Thanks to its LiFePO4 battery chemistry, the 25.6 V/200Ah LiFePO4 Smart-a battery can last up to 14 years going through a daily charge/discharge cycle at 50% DoD, while retaining at least 80 % of its original capacity.

If frequent blackouts occur on the premises, the battery can supply power until the regular electrical supply returns.

In other words, the 25.6 V/200Ah LiFePO4 Smart-a can act as a large-capacity UPS.

LiFePO4 batteries have a near-instant response, unlike standard gasoline/diesel generators, so there will be no data loss or costly interruptions to a manufacturing process.

Design and installation

The 25.6 V/200Ah LiFePO4 Smart-a features integrated balancing, temperature and voltage control system (BTV) that must be connected to an external battery management system, such as one of the compatible BMS devices from Victron, such as VE.Bus BMS V2. When the energy storage system uses more than one battery, the BMS cables should be daisy chained.

The 25.6 V/200Ah LiFePO4 Smart-a can be safely placed on one side if needed, which enables greater flexibility when installing the battery in a vehicle with limited space such as an RV or boat.
